No Support for Bush

28% of Americans think the president is doing a good job...

28%! When it was 50% people were surprised. And now its 28%.

I got this number from an article in Aljazeera. The same article also quoted an editorial in The Minneapolis Star-Tribune:

President Bush and those around him lied, and the rest of us let him. Harsh? Yes. True? Also yes.

Americans are pissed and they are not supporting their president anymore. When the Vietnam war was won, the victors said "We won the war on two fronts, here in Vietnam. And in the US because of American support"

So is there gonna be enough pressure to make Bush end the war? Although it is too late, but better late than never.

To follow the events of the war in Iraq and the related situation in the US I recommend visiting daily the blog od history professor Juan Cole. http://www.juancole.com/ He is a specialist in the Middle East and Shia Islam. He has lived in the region and he speaks fluent arabic. Arabic sources are availible to him that are not accessable for other political commentators. Unfortunately, the Bush administration doesn't consult people of his knowledge and abilities.

unfortunately juan cole is not fluent in arabic or a middle east expert. but hey, any american you can find to back your case means you win, right? i say that, becasue where you come from people can't excersize free will or the freedom of the press. you ARE right. how can anyone who has access to free information (not available in your country, mind you) NOT pick one stupide fuck such as juan cole to ABSOLUTELY CONFIRM that a few hundred million middle easterners don't deserve self determination!?

juan cole is a saint of our times!
